This is a terrific soccer ball that is great for playing on the street or in a rocky area. Very durable. Truth be told, I bought this ball for my border collie/blue heeler mix and she loves how much it bounces and how durable it is. She can't puncture it but the texture is great for her to get a grip on.

I purchased a couple of the Baden X-Tread soccer balls in size 5 for my two soccer-crazy kids, who both seem to go through balls at a fairly fast pace. It's unusual for either of them to have a ball hold up for longer than one season, as they put a ton of wear and tear on them through practices and games.

So far, the Baden balls seem to be very tough. They look different, and one sniff will tell you that these are indeed made from recycled tires, but the bottom line is that they make perfectly good balls for just about any soccer environment. We have grass out at the local soccer complex, but we've also kicked these things around on asphalt and concrete surfaces and had nary a scratch appear on them.

A couple of the other reviewers have mentioned that the ball seems to be slightly harder than a "normal" ball, and I will say that it probably stings a little more when it hits my hands when I'm in goal, but it also seems to react and fly pretty much like any other...Read more

Bought this because my kid is in league soccer and the street we live on shreds regular soccer balls fairly fast. We've had this thing for over four months and it's holding up. The only downsides are the ball is hard on bare feet and it's black.
